Meet Jorge, a brave and kind-hearted 24-year-old from Aurora, CO. Born with a congenital cardiac disease, Jorge has faced many serious health challenges in his young life - more than most do in a lifetime. Despite his condition, he worked as a machine operator at a trucking company for 4 years — a job he loved and took great pride in.

Sadly in 2024, Jorge's health took a heartbreaking turn. Now in hospice care, he's bravely facing the final chapter of his journey with courage and grace as he continues to battle advanced stages of heart failure and renal complications.

When Jorge was referred to us by our partners at Denver Hospice, we knew we had to help honor his wishes in any way we could. Easing some of his financial burdens, The Butterfly Foundation covered his rent and car repairs and, most importantly, granted Jorge the simple wish of spending precious time with loved ones creating priceless moments.

Jorge's strength reminds us that even in the most difficult times, love and dignity matter most and that community support can make a tremendous impact. Jorge was referred to us by Denver Hospice. Please keep Jorge and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
